The Master of Fine Arts 2021 graduates at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design invite you to our Thesis Exhibition. This is the culminating exhibition by our 2021 thesis candidates who have spent the past year on their research, making work and developing each of their unique ideas into a final gallery show.
This is the last event (for the foreseeable future) of a new series that will run monthly in the windows of the 878 Rice St. building in St. Paul. The event is completely free and the art will be visible from the sidewalk so you can come and visit at your own pace while staying socially distant.
WetDoveTail is a collaborative virtual gallery project, comprised of two arts organisations, WET Productions and Dovetail Joints from the North East of England. This current season of online and offline productions have been generously funded by Arts Council England. This annual juried exhibition features the best work submitted by current MCAD students pursuing all degrees in design, fine arts, media arts, and entrepreneurial studies. More than 80 students submitted artwork this year and 41 had pieces selected by our five alumni jurors. The following students were chosen to receive one of five $200 cash prizes for Jurors’ Choice.
The events of 2020 have tremendously affected the lives of everyone in the United States, and more so that of noncitizen residents. To address pertinent bio-political issues related to the pandemic and to reflect on the prolonged period of time under the lockdown, Mana Contemporary presents Is It A Good Time?, an online screening featuring 33 artists from all over the world residing in the United States. To accommodate viewers from the artists’ home bases and a broader global audience, the screening takes the form of an Internet TV and will be streamed nonstop and on repeat for 72 hours.

Released on the last day of each month, the MASS aims to provide a space for reflection, criticism, and a platform for art as activism the Mass is a non-monetised publication (we are not down with the capitalist agenda), and is free to access by all.
Of the many differing opinions floating around the internet and world, we can all agree on one thing: this year isn’t going how we thought. Rising death tolls, a turbulent election, rampant systemic and social racism that infects our field and world (just to name a few things that have come to light this year), there’s a lot to contemplate on these upcoming cold winter nights.
